"Make and Shake" Workshops

Making music sometimes means making your own instruments! Heather guides "kids of all ages" in the fun of making hand-held drums (upper left) or Australian-inspired didgeridus from PVC pipe (lower left). Workshops can be one or more sessions and cost of materials is nominal--frame drums $7 each; didgeridus about $5. Instruction fee additional. Great for schools, scouting and corporate team building!
Hand held drums called frame drums seen here were made by middle school students at Paideia Academy, Kenosha in 2005.

Aussie-inspired didjeridus from plastic pipe created
by day campers at Lake House, Racine, Aug. 2007.
